Following the success of previous editions focused on project preparation and application development, the 2026 edition of GoForCooperation Weeks, organised by TESIM (Technical Support to the Implementation and Management of Interreg programmes), moves to the next stage: project implementation.
This edition is designed to address the challenges that often arise when projects transition from planning to execution. Complementing programme-level trainings and existing support activities, the TESIM sessions focus on common implementation issues in Interreg NEXT projects, including effective coordination within project partnerships, early identification and management of implementation risks, clear communication, and other practical aspects of project delivery.
Several online events are planned for the first quarter of 2026, starting with the following series of GoForCooperation Weeks:
- Project Management and Risks – 17–18 February 2026
Learn how to identify early issues in managing cooperation projects and how to effectively address risks during project implementation.
- Focus on Communication – 24–25 February 2026
Discover practical strategies to improve communication within project teams and with key stakeholders.
- Improving Project Reporting and Evaluation – 3–4 March 2026
Explore approaches to strengthening reporting practices and evaluation processes in order to achieve improved project results.
- Designing Online Events and Using Digital Tools – 10–11 March 2026
Gain practical tips for creating engaging online events and making effective use of digital tools in project activities.
The first training, dedicated to Project Managements and Risk, is designed for Lead Partners and Project Partners from non-EU countries involved in approved Interreg NEXT projects. The content focuses on practical implementation dynamics rather than rules or procedures. Although designed mainly for new project managers, the sessions will also offer valuable insights for more experienced project staff.
Session 1 – 17 February 2026 _From Plan to Practice: Managing Cooperation Projects in Interreg NEXT
This session guides participants through the typical challenges of managing cooperation projects, using realistic case studies to illustrate key lessons. It highlights how gaps can appear between the planned project and actual delivery, emphasizes the value of early coordination and shared understanding among partners, and explores proactive steps that can prevent issues during implementation.
- Session 2 – 18 February 2026_Dealing with Project Risks in Interreg NEXT Projects
This session helps participants recognize early warning signs during project implementation and understand when ordinary deviations escalate into actual risks. It covers the timing and ownership of risks, interdependencies between partners and activities, and practical strategies for effective risk management in Interreg NEXT projects.
- Both sessions are interactive, case-based, and targeted at project staff involved in ongoing Interreg NEXT projects.
- The sessions will be delivered online, in English (no interpretation).
